Website from Sherwin-Williams Analyzes Images to Create Color Palette

Published on .

Here's a truly useful idea for Sherwin Williams from McKinney. Chip It! analyzes every pixel in an image to match it to one of the paint manufacturer's 1,500 paint colors, and composites the top 10 into ChipCards. You can save all the ChipCards to explore for later, or share them.

McKinney copywriter Stevie Archer, a Pinterest fan, hit upon the idea where she realized there was no easy way to pin color palettes and inspiring images for use inside her home. She teamed up with a CT and a programmer to create the site, which uses an algorithm to find the most prominent colors inside an image.
