Station Film turned out more entertaining stories over the past year. Notable campaigns included Skype and Pereira & O'Dell's charming story about Valeriy Sugrobov, a Russian "pet detective" who uses the video calling service to track down lost animals, directed by Peking aka Gregory Mitnick and Nat Livingston Johnson.
Allen Coulter was also on the ball directing Sprint's "Half Court" via Translation, which saw NBA MBP Kevin Durant in the unexpected role as courtroom defense attorney, while Seyi Peter-Thomas shot an accompanying faux late night low budget ad showing KD, Esq. shilling his legal services.
Justin Reardon also helped another athlete take on a new "career" in a campaign for Alaska Airlines. Via Wongdoody it saw Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson step into the role of the flyer's "Chief Football Officer," throwing crew members into tough training sessions that included stroller agility exercises, luggage sprints and snack delivery.
Brendan Gibbons directed more beefy hijinks for Applegate and Taxi New York, in new spots featuring the musclebound deli counter guy who likes to dress as a cow and show off his "Mooscles."
