Roster: Gary McKendry, Brent Harris, rad-ish, Barbara McDonough, Caitlin Felton, Mike Shapiro
A tight little roster of tight big talent seems to have had Go living up to its name over its three-year lifespan. Ex-agency creative Gary McKendry has developed a reputation as a director who knows his way around an actor, with credits including the Ikea "Uptight" spot out of former Ikea agency Carmichael Lynch (the spot, of course, featuring an average couple surprised and strangely dejected to observe their Ikea-organized neighbors behaving in a less uptight yet perhaps more disciplined fashion than the voyeurs had anticipated). McKendry more recently directed a cheek-licking good French's campaign out of MVBMS/EuroRSCG and just completed work for Porsche, All State and Corona. Roster-mate Barbara McDonough has done her level best to resuscitate Kmart with the super- happy new campaign for Joe Boxer through Chiat.
The Austrian duo of rad-ish directed its first U.S.-located work this year with the Mercedes "Reincarnation" spot through Merkley Newman Harty, following the visually compelling Iceland-shot Nissan Altima campaign through TBWAChiatDay. Rad-ish recently lent its crispness to a recent job for Volvo out of MVBMS, and for Land Rover for Y&R. Last year, Go signed South African transplant Brent Harris who had made a name for himself back home with some head-turning work for Virgin Atlantic and BMW. Here, Harris has worked recently on projects for Cadbury and Toyota.
