NEW YORK ( --, a site run by Rosenbluth Interactive, became the first among dot-com travel sites to close its doors due to the steep downturn in the travel business following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The site, which had been focused on helping small-business travelers make bookings, attributed today's close to economic pressures "and ultimately the further-reduced demand for travel resulting from [last week's] tragedy," according to a letter to customers on the company Web site.
