Wanji taps JWT for ginseng acc't

[shanghai] Wanji Pharmaceutical Co., Shenzen, China, named WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson Co., Shanghai, to a $3 million account to develop strategy and creative work for Wanji's American ginseng, previously handled by WPP's Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide. Pharmaceuticals products are among the most advertised in China, accounting for $162 million in ad spending in the second quarter of 2002.
