Will Gompertz

Will Gompertz, director of media at the U.K.'s Tate was featured in our Creativity 50 last year for his innovative approach to museum marketing. Gompertz was patron of the multi-awarded campaigns for the Tate Britain and Modern, including the Fallon, London's Grand Prix-honored pamphlets and posters effort that encouraged visitors to think up their own exhibit themes as well as the Tate Tracks initiative, in which underground musicians composed tunes inspired by Modern-housed works of art. Most recently, Gompertz has been steering Tate broadcast programming with the BBC and hired a team of well-known street artists to transform the outside walls of the Modern to promote the museum's recent Street Art exhibition.
