David Palmer has joined Team One, El Segundo, Calif., in the newly created post of group director for event marketing and strategic alliances from the William Morris Agency, where he had been VP-corporate consulting and head of licensing and merchandise. He reports to CEO Brian Sheehan, leading the shop's 17-person event marketing team. Sharon Reed remains director of event marketing and promotions. Agency clients include Lexus, which has increased the number of events it holds each year, taking a page from Toyota sibling Scion brand's marketing approach, as well as Procter & Gamble's Millstone Coffee, Ritz-Carlton, Movielink, Los Angeles Times and British Telecom/Infonet Services Corp. At WMA, Mr. Palmer was responsible for development and execution for the agency's licensing and merchandising division and worked with clients such as NetJets, Hachette Filipacchi, Courteney Cox Arquette, Whoopi Goldberg, top chefs and lifestyle experts. Before that, he had been a senior VP at Sony Pictures Television and also worked at Disney, MGM and Turner Broadcasting. | Double Fusion, San Francisco, has inked deals with Take-Two Interactive to serve as the exclusive in-game advertising agency for up to nine titles published by the video-game maker's 2K and 2K Sports labels.
