As reported in The New York Times, execs close to the situation say that AOL Time Warner is developing Mystro TV, a technology that uses a cable platform to offer viewers TiVo-like PVR utility. It allows for time-shifting but gives the TV networks more control, like dictating which shows users can time shift and allowing them the chance to insert commercials. AOL TW execs declined comment… With speculation about a shake-up in its corporate marketing consulting unit swirling, Endeavor, Los Angeles, confirmed last week that Mark and Erik Stroman, two key members of Endeavor Marketing Solutions, are resigning from the shop to launch their own promotions and marketing business. In a written statement released by the partners of Endeavor, the shop said it "will continue to work with Mark and Erik and their new firm." The Stroman brothers declined comment…Sportvision, the interactive sports-marketing and technology company, has released a new, enhanced version of its Emmy-winning 1st & Ten™ virtual first-down system. The tweaked product offers broadcasters several new technological bells and whistles including in-studio insertion of the Yellow Line, a virtual line of scrimmage, and 3-D telestration.
