NBC has renewed reality show, "The Restaurant", for a second season. The Magna Global Entertainment and Reveille co-production, set in New York chef Rocco DiSpirito's new eatery, has not been assigned a time slot but will be on the Peacock's schedule sometime in mid-season. The original six-episode arc this past summer was noted for its integration of sponsors Coors, Mitsubishi, and American ExpressThe Yankee Group released a study on Monday forecasting that the U.S. penetration of personal video recorders will rise from 3.8% of TV households currently to 20% by 2007. This could translate to a $5.5 billion hit, which would represent 11% of the $50 billion annual U.S. TV advertising marketplace.
