Pop Up Grocer: The brand, which earlier this year opened its first brick-and-mortar in Manhattan to sell “better-for-you” food and beverage products, recently debuted a new pop-up in Nordstrom. For now, it’s only taken over a corner of Nordstrom’s flagship store in New York City; but starting July 7, Pop Up Grocer will appear, for a limited time, in other Nordstrom locations across the country.
Papier: Last Wednesday, the stationery brand rolled out in Anthropologie, signifying Papier’s first U.S. retail launch. Founded in 2015, Papier has plans to be in more than 10,000 global retail locations within the next six years, according to a press release.
Henry Rose: Michelle Pfeiffer’s genderless fragrance brand recently announced its debut in Sephora. Since rolling out DTC in 2019, Henry Rose has arrived in higher-end retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. For Sephora, the entrant represents an expansion of its DTC genderless fragrance category—Boy Smells’s “genderful” fragrance line, for instance, rolled out in the retailer last year.
Apothékary: In addition to a rebrand, plant-based DTC wellness company Apothékary announced $4.5 million in new funding last Wednesday. The funding officially closed a few weeks ago and it came from investors such as fellow DTC founder Jing Gao of Fly by Jing, according to a spokesperson for Apothékary.
BetterBrand: The DTC food-tech company behind “The Better Bagel,” a high-protein and low-carb bagel, recently closed a $6 million Series A. Verso Capital led the round, which also included participation from Alexis Ohanian’s firm, as well as Patrick Schwarzenegger and Emmy Rossum.
Dtcpay: Founded in 2019, the Singapore-based startup last week announced that it raised a $16.5 million pre-Series A funding round to expand its global presence. The company claims to provide seamless conversions of fiat and digital currencies so merchants can accept more payment types.
Bonobos got its co-founder back earlier this month. Andy Dunn is set to return to the clothing company in an advisory role.
Rihanna’s lingerie brand Savage x Fenty appointed Hillary Super as its CEO last week in the superstar’s place. Super previously served as Anthropologie’s global CEO.
