In her prior role leading digital transformation of the L’Oreal USA’s Professional Products Division, Wen led a fivefold increase in the unit’s e-commerce business share since 2017. Previously, Wen was global chief digital officer for the L’Oreal Paris brand, and before that had spent two years at LVMH. Wen also spent nearly eight years at Clarins Group as global chief digital officer.

Wen succeeds Marc Toulemonde, who was chief digital and marketing officer role since November 2020. The company’s statement did not say what Toulemonde would be doing next, and he could not immediately be reached for comment via LinkedIn.
L'Oreal was the No. 14 U.S. advertiser in 2020, per Ad Age Datacenter's 2021 Leading National Advertisers, with nearly $2.2 billion in all-in ad spending. The company was also one of Ad Age's best marketers of 2021.
