Discount e-commerce site ShopWorn.com is getting a handle on early holiday shoppers with its “Christmas is Closer Than You Think” annual sale, which runs through Aug. 11. Consumers have already shown they are amenable to early-bird shopping with summer sales such as Amazon’s Prime Day.

The Sports & Fitness Industry Association returns to in-person events with its Outdoor Retailer Summer Show, which will run through Aug. 12 in Denver, Colorado. The b-to-b event will host industry brands, retailers, designers and suppliers.

Wendy’s reports second-quarter earnings. The second-largest burger chain, which recently hosted a Rick and Morty pop-up restaurant, is in an ongoing push to sell chicken biscuits and Frosty-like coffee for breakfast as it tries to woo fast-food diners with more premium burgers.

Charlotte’s Web reports second-quarter earnings. As it seeks to expand, the maker of hemp products recently put vending machines stocked with its hemp-infused topical formula in high-intensity athletic locations like a road bike route in Arizona.
Black Women Talk Tech kicks off today with a two-day conference that promises to be a “roadmap to billions.” The symposium is in its fifth year, and it will be held virtually this year, featuring top Black leaders, entrepreneurs and investors. Leaders from Twitter, Google and Netflix will be in attendance.
