Ms. Churgin has been VP-publisher at Gourmet magazine just since February, when she swapped posts with Giulio Capua, who became VP-publisher at Architectural Digest.
Ms. Grimes last week announced her decision to leave for the Reader's Digest Association, where Ms. Berner has been installed by new owners as the president-CEO. She then went to work poaching former colleagues from Conde Nast.
Thomas Hartman was promoted from associate publisher at Gourmet to become the magazine's third VP-publisher in two months. Conde still has a Berner-created vacancy to fill at Cookie magazine, where VP-publisher Eva Dillon is also leaving for Reader's Digest Association.
