Every weekday, we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new and trending TV commercials tracked by iSpot.tv, a company that catalogs, tags and measures activity around TV ads in real time. The new releases here ran on TV for the first time yesterday. The Most Engaging ads are showing sustained social heat, ranked by SpotShare scores reflecting the percent of digital activity associated with each one over the past week.
Among the new releases, Honda gives us a window into how its Civic Hatchback is made; Starbucks continues its campaign for its holiday signature cold brew featuring one of its baristas and JCPenny announces its 25% off sale.
Finally, Google highlights its Google Home in a spot featuring a young boy in a cape. The boy is holding a wand and says "Abracadabra!" "Alakazam!" and "Hocus pocus!" hoping to get his dog to move. His mother asks their Google Home what the magic word is. The automated voice says "please," and -- like magic -- the dog goes outside.
