NEW YORK ( -- The PR Santa’s sleigh of presents keeps pulling in and unloading here at MediaWorks, and so we continue to dutifully unwrap them. We’ve gotten several solicitations from people offering to send us more, but we want to stay pure to our mission of recording faithfully what was picked out back in October by the PR departments to shower upon the naughty and nice media buyers and journalists.

Crispin Porter & Bogusky Divides the Men From the Women
Miami-based hot shop Crispin sent several of our staffers packages this week, but what we found most curious was the gender divide. Several of our male staffers got handsome 6 oz. leather flasks, in which to tote their own holiday cheer. But our female reporter got a Shu Uemura eyelash curler, in its own fancy case. We’re not sure what kind of message that sends, but we’re sure it's some sort of viral campaign.

Multimedia Extravaganza From NBC UniversalAfter a tough year, the smart move is to send out swag that does double duty: fulfills the holiday gift-giving and underscores what your business is about. So NBC Universal sent over three DVDs of funny: "The Office: Season One"; "Saturday Night Live: The First Five Seasons"; and "Saturday Night Live: The Best of John Belushi." It also three in a CD of "Sounds of the Season: The NBC Holiday Collection" and "Today’s Kitchen Cookbook." However, another one of our staffers got a different set of DVDs from NBC Universal, including “Cinderella Man” and "The Skeleton Key."

Drink Coasters From A Partnership A Partnership, an Asian-American ad shop in New York, wants us to eat, drink and be merry, and sent along some drink coasters to keep the red-wine stains off our desk.
