MBNA America Bank last week announced plans to offer credit cards featuring any of the National Basketball Association team colors or logos, including all Women's National Basketball Association and National Basketball Development League teams. The program launches in October, with on-site opportunities to sign up for the customized cards at hundreds of NBA events and on the Web at

Rainbow programming holding's Bravo takes James Lipton, host of the cable channel's program "Inside the Actors Studio," on the road this fall in "An Evening with James Lipton." The first-time event, sponsored by American Honda Motor Co.'s Acura, Northwestern Mutual and Pharmacia/Celebrex, is free to the public and features clips from the series. Stops include Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta and San Francisco.

Zelnick Media, New York, recently joined forces with Threshold Sports, Norristown, Pa., to develop broader media platforms and sponsorship opportunities for professional bicycle racing in the U.S. The group's research shows an explosion of interest in cycling in recent years and plans to develop a series of new events featuring the world's top cyclists, with national TV coverage.
