A&E's "Biography" series celebrates its 15th anniversary with a 10-city tour, beginning in Los Angeles this week. The tour includes six traveling Madame Tussaud's wax figures of famous people. A booth will promote the Biography cable TV network; local cable affiliates will support the effort.

Fairchild Publications' W magazine and Neiman Marcus are teaming up for the "W Personal Shopper Beauty Talk" advertorial appearing in the magazine's May issue, highlighting products from Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Estee Lauder and Lancome. Readers are invited to try any product in the advertorial at Neiman Marcus this month in exchange for the chance to win a $250 store gift certificate.

American Express Publishing's T&L Golf is touting Puerto Rico in a 10-month promotion involving local golf tournaments in 36 markets, culminating in a golf tournament in Puerto Rico. Rums of Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico Tourism back the effort with ads throughout the year, beginning with the March/April issue; the tournament will also be promoted on cable TV's Golf Channel. Sponsors include Wyndham El Conquistador, American Airlines and Greg Norman, among others.
