Every weekday, we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new and trending TV commercials tracked by iSpot.tv, a company that catalogs, tags and measures activity around TV ads in real time. The New Releases here ran on TV for the first time yesterday. The Most Engaging ads are showing sustained social heat, ranked by SpotShare scores reflecting the percent of digital activity associated with each one over the past week. See the methodology here.
Among the new releases, Kohl's is advertising its Lowest Prices of the Season sale, while Ram Trucks is plugging its Labor Day sale in a spot set to the blues-rocking strains of Jamie N Commons and X Ambassadors' "Jungle." And a new commercial starring Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj promotes, well, a lot of things: Beats Colr Mixr headphones and Pill wireless speakers; the trio's single "Bang Bang"; the upcoming music-video world premiere for the song during the MTV VMAs (the spot helpfully reminds you that the show airs Sunday, August 24 at 9/8c); as well as the fact that the pink versions of the aforementioned Beats gear are available exclusively at Target.
