The Media Vanguard Awards Entry Deadline is Midnight Tuesday

Honoring Publishers, Broadcasters and Marketers Innovating Through Technology

The Media Vanguard Awards (MVAs) honor publishers and broadcasters -- both traditional and web-native -- that are creating innovative, technology-driven means to extend their franchises and connect with audiences in new ways. The MVAs also honor marketers that are producing media, with the Marketer-as-Media Spotlight track of competition.

In 2010, the inaugural year of the MVAs, we were thrilled to receive hundreds of entries from around the world and covering a wide range of new media. Virtually every media company you could think of submitted entries, including ABC, CBS, Atlantic Media, Conde Nast, Hearst, Discovery, ESPN, Fox, Gannett, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Meredith , National Public Radio, New York Media, The New York Times Co., Paramount, NBC, Rodale, Time Inc., Tribune Co., Vice and the Washington Post Co. Marketers -- including Allstate, Kmart, Kraft, Intel, Pillsbury, Major League Baseball, Target and Walmart -- also competed in the Marketer-as-Media Spotlight division.

The 2010 winners were announced in Advertising Age and toasted at a party at the ME: Media Evolved conference in New York City last November. This year we will again announce the winners in Advertising Age, both in print and online, and honor them at a party/reception at the ME: Media Evolved conference Nov. 15 in New York.

We've streamlined the entry process for 2011. Visit for information on submitting through our simple online submission process. You should be able to complete a single MVA entry in 15 minutes or less. You can start an entry at any time and return later (before the deadline, of course) to complete it and/or submit additional entries before finalizing your submission(s). The entry deadline is Oct. 11 (extended from the original deadline of Sept. 26).
