Every weekday, we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new and trending TV commercials tracked by iSpot.tv, a company that catalogs, tags and measures activity around TV ads in real time. The New Releases here ran on TV for the first time over the weekend. The Most Engaging ads are showing sustained social heat, ranked by SpotShare scores reflecting the percent of digital activity associated with each one over the past week. See the methodology here.
Among the new releases, Kia's hamsters show up in force in a spot previewed (and panned) by Ad Age's ad critic Ken Wheaton, while Kevin Hart and Dave Franco appear in a 30-second cut of their over-the-top web video celebrating the release of "Madden 15" (Creativity made it an Editor's Pick last Monday; the campaign also takes the No. 1 spot in the Most Engaging portion of our chart). And Kmart reminds its customers that they can shop online and then pay for and pick up the merch in-store -- which is apparently the preference of at least one blinged-out granny.
