NFL Stars Go to Class in Last Night's New Ads

Every weekday, we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new and trending TV commercials tracked by, a company that catalogs, tags and measures activity around TV ads in real time. The New Releases here ran on TV for the first time yesterday. The Most Engaging ads are showing sustained social heat, ranked by SpotShare scores reflecting the percent of digital activity associated with each one over the past week. See the methodology here.

Among the new releases, AT&T continues to try to use its new ownership of DirecTV as a lure for customers of rival phone services, offering a bundle of AT&T and DirecTV services. (Sprint, meanwhile, is trying to keep that bundle from taking hold, promising a year's free service to any DirecTV customers who sign up for Sprint.)

And Drew Brees, Clay Matthews, Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch attend a fantasy football class for Xbox One, becoming high school stereotypes including the nerd and the slacker.
