$50 mil launch for 'Lost World' video

Universal Studios Home Video is preparing a $50 million marketing push behind the home video release of "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." The video hits Nov. 4 with a suggested retail price of $22.98. Universal has also inked promotional partnerships with Discover Card, Hasbro, Tiger Electronics, Tropicana and Tyco to help promote sales of the video. The front of the video package employs motion lenticular material to produce a 3-D effect of a T-Rex crashing through the packaging. This part of the packaging is detachable and is being positioned as a collectible.
