NEW YORK-Advertising Age has won Circulation Management Magazine's grand award for achieving circulation objectives in the business-to-business category for publications with circulation of 50,000 to 100,000.

Ad Age was honored for increasing circulation revenue by 15% in the past two years while reducing variable costs by nearly $200,000.

Under Circulation Director Priscilla Garston, the weekly's renewal rate rose to 68% from 64%, and verified pass-along readership grew to 4.4 readers per copy from 3.7.

"Winning awards is a big part of our business," said VP-Publisher Ed Erhardt. "It's especially gratifying when Ad Age receives recognition from the industry and our peers for achieving goals in an area as competitive and important as circulation."
