French toiletries marketer L'Occitane is meeting with agencies to handle its first global ad efforts. Spending is estimated at $3 million to $4 million. Agencies pitching include Frierson, Mee & Kraft, New York; Select Communications, Paris; and CLM/ BBDO, Issy-les-Moulineaux, France. Officials at L'Occitane's U.S. headquarters wouldn't comment.
Hudson's Bay Co., Toronto, to Wolf Group as first agency of record for The Bay, its retail division with 100 stores in Canada. The account had been handled by several agencies on a project basis. The Institute of Canadian Advertising assisted in the review, which also included BBDO, Communique and MacLaren McCann.
CreSenda Wireless, Los Angeles, to FCB Worldwide as its agency of record. This summer CreSenda launches its Wireless Professional Series in 20 major markets, with a national rollout planned for early fall.
Red Wing Shoe Co., Red Wing, Minn., to Gabriel Diericks Radzidlo, Minneapolis, to handle its Vasque line of hiking footwear. The agency will handle print advertising and collateral efforts.
