Cordiant Communications Group, London, acquired for $185 million a 63% stake in Healthworld Corp., New York, an international marketing communications company specializing in healthcare. Healthworld has affiliates and marketing relationships in Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

Interpublic Group of Cos.' Octagon sports marketing and entertainment division, New York, made a $194 million offer for 29.8% of Brands Hatch, a U.K. promoter of motorsport events and operator of leisure events.
