The striking commercial actors unions on Oct. 20 reviewed a new proposal from advertisers received late on Oct. 19. The contents were not disclosed due to an agreed-on news blackout. The two sides agreed to meet Oct. 21, in hopes of ending the nearly 6-month-old strike by the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists. Executives close to the negotiations predict the strike will end in the next few days so work can resume by Oct. 30.
