[san francisco] Advertising Age has opened an editorial bureau in San Francisco, and added a longtime correspondent in that city to its full-time staff.

Media Editor Chuck Ross has moved from New York and will work out of the San Francisco office. He will continue to cover on a national basis the TV industry, ad agency media departments, independent media-buying services and media research, as well as related areas.

Alice Z. Cuneo, a correspondent for more than 12 years, joined the staff full time as a senior editor effective Jan. 1. Ms. Cuneo's areas of coverage include West Coast ad agencies and, on a national basis, retailing and wine marketing.

"The West Coast is an exciting and vibrant area in advertising, marketing and media," said Scott Donaton, executive editor. "Between Los Angeles and San Francisco, Ad Age now has four of its most senior journalists in the region."
