The AdMarket 50 fell 4.4% in the first half, ending on a down note. Marketers fared best, with the average issue down 1.8%-but up 24.2% since the overall stock market's 2000 peak. Media stocks dropped an average 6.4% in the first half and are down 17.8% from 2000. Only one agency issue- Digitas-rose in the first half; agency stocks on average lost 2.5%-and are down a dismal 53.4% since the market peak.
