(July 30, 2001) -- Alloy Online is expected to announce today that it is partnering with Hearst Corp.'s Web site in a deal that calls for the Generation Y-focused Alloy to design, host and provide technology tools to the site.

Alloy will also provide marketing and advertising sources to the site, which will launch on Aug. 6.

Alloy has a database of more than 7 million teenagers; CosmoGIRL has a print circulation of 750,000. -- Catharine P. Taylor
