America Online, Gap, in multiyear partnership

America Online and The Gap have signed a three-year e-commerce and marketing agreement to make Gap brands--including Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy--the first major anchor tenants in AOL's new retail venue, [email protected] The agreement gives Gap anchor and other premier placements within each of America Online's new comprehensive e-commerce destinations: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] Gap's brands will have prominent positions in apparel areas. Gap's newest concept, GapBody, also will be promoted in the lingerie area. The new [email protected] marketplace began rolling out to consumers in mid-July; new shopping services will be introduced in October.
