American Airlines Center gets new $39 million sponsor

The North Texas Ford Dealer Ad Association inked a $39 million, 10-year deal to be a key sponsor of the American Airlines Center. The new Dallas facility opens in fall 2001 as the new home of the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars and National Basketball Association's Mavericks. The Ford dealer group gets exterior monument signs plus the west lobby, a heavy-traffic area connecting to a light rail system.
