Ammirati Puris Lintas merges with local New Zealand shop

AUCKLAND -- Ammirati Puris Lintas has merged with local integrated agency Pearson Davis, giving the new entity claimed billings of $50m and a ranking at No 7 in the country.

Pearson Davis will bring to APL expertise in areas such as direct marketing, online services, database management and telemarketing, while APL contributes its international network and multinational client base to the merger. Stephen Pearson is to be CEO of APL New Zealand.

"Our new agency is all that I want us to be... smart, creative and capable of ideas unconfined by media. An agency at the leading edge of change," says APL Worldwide Chairman Martin Puris.

The new agency's client list includes Air New Zealand, BellSouth, Diet Coke, Honda, Nestle, Ministry of Health and Wang.
