SAN FRANCISCO-Chevron Corp. is launching an estimated $50 million marketing campaign featuring animated cars with human personalities to pitch its new gasolines with Techron, an additive that cleans engine deposits.

The campaign was created by Young & Rubicam and Oscar-winning animation partner Aardman Animations, based in Bristol, England.

The 30- and 60-second introductory spots break today on network and cable in Chevron's 30-state marketing area. The campaign also features print, radio and outdoor.
