AOL, eBay enter partnership

EBay will be featured across America Online's brands, including AOL,, CompuServe, Netscape Netcenter, ICQ and Digital City, under a $75 million deal signed March 25 between the online auction site and the interactive services company. The four-year strategic alliance entitles AOL to all advertising revenue generated by the co-branded sites. AOL will be the exclusive third-party ad sales force for advertising sold on eBay's Web site. Under the deal, AOL will promote eBay as its preferred auction site and eBay will promote AOL as its preferred Internet service.
