AOL holiday sales numbers double

America Online members spent $2.5 billion online during the 1999 holidayshopping season, more than twice as much as 1998's holiday spending of $1.2billion, according to AOL. The average AOL buyer spent $300 online duringthe 1999 holiday season, up about 50% from the same period last year.
