AOL strikes deal with

America Online and, an Internet healthcare network led by Dr. C. Everett Koop, former U.S. surgeon general, today announced a four-year, $89 million strategic alliance to bring's health information, services and other resources to AOL members. Under the deal, will be the premier health content partner across five AOL brands, including AOL, CompuServe,, Netscape Netcenter and Digital City. The companies expect to roll out content across the AOL brands this fall. To support sales efforts for the partnership, will leverage AOL's interactive sales force of more than 600 to build advertising and e-commerce opportunities across all and its affiliate sites, as well as to support the rollout of several new products and services throughout the four-year agreement. In related news, former Wall Street Journal VP-Advertising Paul Atkinson has been named AOL's VP-advertising sales.
