Apple sticking with BBDO

Apple Computer wants to quash recurring rumors it is looking at new agencies for its estimated $150 million global account, now at BBDO Worldwide, Los Angeles. Allen Olivo, worldwide director of corporate advertising, said: "If somebody wants to send me something, fine, [but] I am not looking. We have no interest right now in changing agencies." Separately, director Spike Lee and actress Marlee Matlin will appear late this summer in Apple Macintosh spots on MTV. Separately, BBDO Worldwide Chairman and creative guru Phil Dusenberry may assist BBDO South, Atlanta, on a new campaign for Delta Air Lines.

Wells Rich Greene BDDP CEO-Chairman Ken Olshan said he would not consider looking for a president for the New York agency until at yearend. WRG Managing Partner Paula Forman, who was approached by BBDO to run its new Mars business, declined the offer and will likely stay.
