Archery Shooter's Association, Valgasta, Ga., targets sponsors at various levels for its year-round regional competitions culminating in eight tournaments in various markets, leading up to the ASA World Championships for 1995-96. Los Angeles International Indoor Track Meet, scheduled next Feb. 17, seeks one title sponsor and other sponsors for the 37th annual event, featuring Olympic contenders and hopefuls for the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta. The meet, attended by 12,000, will be televised on cable and national TV. Sunkist Growers earlier this month dropped out as title sponsor after 26 years. Romance Across America wants to lure corporate sponsors for the cross-country tour, starting next January, of Gregory J.P. Godek, "romance coach" and author of "1,001 Ways to Be Romantic." Sponsorships include brand presence and product promotion at in-store events and "romance rallies" targeting adults of all ages, to be held across the U.S. through June 1997. Pathmark Tennis Classic, Mahwah, N.J., seeks sponsors at levels ranging from $5,000 to $100,000. The event is slated for Aug. 21 to 27 in advance of the U.S. Open. In addition to title sponsor Pathmark, U.S. Healthcare has signed on as presenting sponsor. Mid-Continent Conference, Naperville, Ill., is accepting sponsors for the 1996 Men's Basketball Tournament slated for next March 3 to 5 in Moline, Ill. Eight collegiate teams will compete for the NCAA Division I championship. Title sponsorship is available for $750,000 and includes in-game presence plus regional TV coverage; co-sponsorships are also available.
