Auto venture seeks agency

AutoNation USA, the Fort Lauderdale-based used car retailing venture created by former Blockbuster Entertainment Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga and auto distributor Jim Moran, is preparing to select its first ad agency and has hired Betsi O'Neill as director of advertising, promotion and merchandising. Billings are expected to reach $75 million within three years. The company will create a list of 10 agencies, all at least $100 million in size with no automotive dealership or manufacturing accounts, by month's end.
