Autoweb drives into first national broadcast campaign

In its first national broadcast campaign,, an Internet car-buying service, pokes gentle fun at the traditional--and usually painful--car-buying process by applying it to other real-life situations, such as ordering a meal, buying a dress and purchasing a newspaper. The $12 million campaign, created by the San Francisco office of Lowe Lintas & Partners, will air on network and cable TV through mid-2000; total annual spending by Autoweb approaches $25 million.
