Discover Card and Fruit of the Loom gave details on their sponsorship of upcoming country music concerts at the Marketing With Country Music Seminar in Nashville, Tenn., sponsored by the Country Music Association and Advertising Age.
Fruit of the Loom will sponsor the Fruit of the Loom All-Star Country Fest July 13 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, and said its event will be the largest country music festival ever held. Fruit of the Loom will give away tickets for the concert with purchase of its products. CBS will follow with a telecast of the concert a week later. Alan Jackson is among the stars scheduled for the all-day event.
Superstation TBS will air a July 10 Discover Card TV concert featuring Trisha Yearwood, accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra. DDB Needham Worldwide, New York, developed the event.
