BBDO's Campbell joins JWT in New York

J. Walter Thompson USA is set to name Mike Campbell as its New York executive creative director. Mr. Campbell previously was exec VP-senior creative director at BBDO Worldwide, New York, where he worked on accounts such as Frito-Lay's Doritos, FedEx Corp. and Tricon Global Restaurants' Pizza Hut. He also worked at BBDO's interactive arm @tmosphere. Mr. Campbell, who had been at BBDO since 1987, fills a long-vacant creative spot at JWT's New York office. JWT, under the new leadership of CEO-President Peter Schweitzer, is expected to announce other top-level hires in the coming weeks. Mr. Schweitzer took over the top post in January after Chris Jones resigned for health reasons.
