BellSouth taps IBS for cross-platform ads

BellSouth, an online Yellow Pages directory, will run online and offline advertising through Internet Broadcasting Systems, a company that operates a network of Web channels tied to and promoted by local TV stations. The ad campaign will run on five local Web channels and their partner TV stations in the IBS network. Stations include WPBF in West Palm Beach, Fla.; WESH in Orlando; WPLG in Miami; WDSU in New Orleans; and WYFF in Greenville, N.C. BellSouth is the second regional Bell operating company to pick IBS to develop advertising. Pacific Bell has been running such ad campaigns across the IBS network since 1998.
