Takeda Abbott Pharmaceuticals, Deerfield, Ill., is believed to be choosing between Chicago shops Leo Burnett USA and Cramer-Krasselt as a first agency to handle Prevacid Rx heartburn drug.

Sabre, Fort Worth, Texas, consolidated at Richards Group, Dallas, which had previously handled only Sabre's Travelocity product. Richards will now handle all Sabre's creative and U.S. media planning for all products. Temerlin McClain, Irving, Texas, had been Sabre's lead agency.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange is searching for an agency to replace Lois/EJL on its less than $1 million account, after the agency resigned last week. A Merc spokeswoman said the futures exchange began a review in late May "to see what was out there" in light of the changes in the financial services industry. Lois, which had held the account for 15 years, chose to withdraw.

CNN, New York, next week unveils a three-month ad campaign to introduce major changes to its Headline News offering. The new slogan from DiNoto Lee, New York, is "Get-to-the-point news," stressing the network's emphasis on brevity in covering current events.
