Coca-Cola Co.'s German unit moved the Coca-Cola Classic account to Michael Conrad & Leo Burnett
, Frankfurt, from Publicis, Frankfurt, following a competitive pitch. Spending was not disclosed. The Burnett office will create some original ads for the German market instead of primarily relying on adapted ads created in the U.S. Michael Conrad & Leo Burnett already handles the Fruitopia account. The switch to Burnett has created speculation that Burnett may pick up the Coca-Cola Classic account in additional European markets. Publicis picked up the Coca-Cola Classic account in Germany two years ago from McCann-Erickson.
