TAIPEI -- Following a global realignment, advertising for Johnnie Walker, a United Distillers & Vintners Scotch whisky brand, has returned to Bcom3 Group's Leo Burnett Co., Taipei, after two years at WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson Co.

BBH, London, executes the client's major brand creative development and handles the account on a global scale. Because BBH does not have an office in Taiwan, it has handed creative execution and localization of the global communication campaign "Keep Walking" in that market to Leo Burnett, which owns 49% of BBH.

The agency will work for an undisclosed retainer fee. Starcom Worldwide, Bcom3's global media agency, will handle the $3 million media business in Taiwan, including TV and cinema spots as well as print and radio ads.

Leo Burnett now handles advertising for Johnnie Walker in eight countries across the Asia/Pacific market -- Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. Beacon Communications, a joint partnership between Bcom3 partners D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles and Leo Burnett, handles the account in Japan. -- Normandy Madden
