Technology e-tailer Buy.com said its in-house staff is working with Gotham, New York, on its estimated $25 million fourth-quarter campaign. The first TV spot with the tagline "Why buy anywhere else?" broke Nov. 1. Additional spots are planned. It had been unclear what agency was working with Buy.com since the marketer's recent split with Black Rocket, San Francisco. A spokeswoman for the e-tailer confirmed Buy.com is in negotiations for a Super Bowl ad buy similar to last year. The spokeswoman said no formal agency search is under way at the company at this time.
