The buzz at Buzz

Karen Andre, CEO of Buzz msp, a Chicago-based marketing company created by Web incubator divine interVentures, said Nov. 2 she has left the company after clashing with management over the company's strategic direction. Ms. Andre's exit is one in a recent series of high-level defections and management overhauls for the troubled divine. Sherri Michaels, a senior manager of events marketing for Buzz, left the company in September. Also in September, Tim Krauskopf left his CEO post at divine's Parlano, which provides software services to large companies, for another position within divine. In October, Buzz msp (for "marketing services provider"), which employs 90 people, changed its name from Buzz divine - part of a strategy by divine CEO Andrew "Flip" Filipowski to spin off divine's better-performing service providers, according to sources familiar with the company.
