The Greater Montreal Convention & Tourism Bureau is breaking a $3.5 million fall/winter marketing and promotional campaign in U.S. magazines, newspapers and radio. A 12-page insert, entitled "Romantic Getaways a la Montreal," is running in November issues of Conde Nast titles GQ, Vogue, Gourmet and Conde Nast Traveler. Also included: a hockey promotion at Madison Square Garden, a theater event with the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Majestic Theater and a monthlong promotion, "Music a la Montreal," with HMV Records in New York. Marketel, Montreal, created the campaign.
