Canadian agency body promotes to U.S. marketers

TORONTO--The Institute of Canadian Advertising is marketing its member ad agencies to U.S. advertisers in a direct mail campaign targeting 15,000 advertisers who spend at least $1 million a year.

Inserts in Advertising Age and in the Association of National Advertisers' magazine, Advertiser, will also promote a new book and video showcasing Canadian agency work along with key creative and financial benefits of working with Canadian agencies.

The ICA is also promoting its free agency search service, branded Agency Source, with this campaign. Agency Source matches advertisers with a list of qualified ICA member agencies and advocates best practices when searching for an advertising agency.

The ICA is the professional association for Canada's advertising agencies, representing about 70 member agencies that account for 80 percent of national advertising in Canada. ICA promotes higher standards and best practices, and is the largest source of information, advice and training in the advertising industry in Canada.
